What do NASCAR, Indy, Formula One, and even the Tour de France all have in common with NASA, the U.S. Government, and the U.S. Military?

They all use tires inflated with nitrogen.

Why? Primarily for better maintenance of tire pressure, cooler running tires, lower fuel consumption, extended tire life, and the elimination of oxidation. And due to the fact that nitrogen is an inert gas and non-explosive, it has been used for years in OTR tires.

Only now, with the Branick Nitrogen Tire Inflation Systems, has nitrogen finally been affordable to the end user. Whether you're looking to reduce your tire costs for your truck fleet or just to increase the life of the tires and rims on your family sedan or SUV, nitrogen inflated tires save time and money!

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

What immediate benefit can be expected from nitrogen filled tires?

Better Maintenance of Air Pressures
Because the molecules in nitrogen are larger than the molecules in oxygen, nitrogen migrates through a tire 3 to 4 times slower than oxygen.

Lower Fuel Consumption
Better air pressures improve rolling resistance and reduce the risk of running tires under-inflated.

Cooler Running Tires
Tires inflated with nitrogen run approximately 20% cooler than tires inflated with air. Nitrogen is an inert clean gas that disperses heat quicker than regular compressed air.

What are the long-term benefits of nitrogen filled tires?

Extended Tire Life
With cooler running tires maintaining better pressure, tire life can be significantly extended

Oxidation is Eliminated
With nitrogen, there is no more oxidation of inner liners, belt packages or air pressure monitoring devices (required in all motor vehicles effective November 2003).

Improved Retreadability
With the elimination of oxidation, there is no more loss of flexibility. Truck casings that start on nitrogen have often had 4 or more retread lives.

No More Rim Rust
Nitrogen is completely dry. Condensation is eliminated.

On the Road Reliability
Tire failures are reduced as much as 80%, reducing costly down time.

Stronger Casings
Stronger casings equal more retreads.

How difficult is the Branick Nitrogen Tire Inflation System to install?

Simply attach your standard airline into the Branick Nitrogen Inflation System line-in, attach a hose assembly and air chuck to the line-out, and you're ready to inflate tires.

It can't be that easy! Are there any other devices required for best results?

For maximum membrane life, you should use an in-line "air-dryer" just before the Branick Nitrogen Tire Inflation System. They are available through Myers Tire Supply. Depending on your business needs, a nitrogen storage tank may be beneficial.

What about maintenance? How long can I expect the membrane to last?

The membranes have been thoroughly tested to supply 16,000 hours of trouble-free operation, when used without the presence of oil contamination.

What is the required operating pressure?

The Branick Nitrogen Tire Inflation System requires an operating pressure of 150-175 psi.

What is the air pressure after it passes through the Branick Nitrogen Tire Inflation System?

You can expect to lose no more than 10 psi after your compressed air is processed through the 3 pre-filters and a single membrane.
